High-end residential architecture frequently mistakes visual complexity for luxury. At Vantage & Vale, we work from the opposite conviction: true permanence comes from structural clarity, honest regional materials, and the disciplined calibration of natural light across cast concrete, warm white oak, and quarried stone.

Rather than separating shell architecture from interior design, our studio authors the entire spatial envelope as one cohesive work. From initial site topography and solar orientation in the Central Texas landscape down to custom bronze hardware and library millwork, nothing is delegated to junior production teams.

JULIAN VANTAGE

FOUNDING PARTNER — ARCHITECTURE & SITE STRATEGY

Julian leads architectural massing, structural integration, and complex site strategy across Central Texas. With eighteen years of experience directing custom residential and adaptive reuse projects, his work focuses on how heavy monolithic materials—board-formed concrete, rammed earth, and native limestone—can frame weightless moments of daylight.

Prior to co-founding Vantage & Vale, he served as Senior Project Director for award-winning cultural and residential commissions across the American Southwest, working directly with master masons and structural engineers.

CLARA VALE

FOUNDING PARTNER — INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Clara directs interior architecture, spatial sequence, bespoke millwork, and material curation. Trained in both architectural preservation and fine furniture fabrication, she ensures that every threshold, stair profile, acoustic plaster ceiling, and integrated stone basin reads as an inseparable part of the building’s anatomy.

Her approach eliminates decorative clutter in favor of tactile calm: hand-troweled lime plaster, unlacquered brass that patinates with touch, and custom casework tailored to how each family actually lives.

Quiet minimalism is unforgiving of poor tolerances. Limiting our studio volume allows us to spend every week on site in alongside general contractors, steel fabricators, and stone masons verifying 1mm shadow gaps in person.
